AAPI Data Rebranding and Collateral Design

Data inequity directly impacts Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander people when it comes to policy decision making and an accurate understanding of these populations. Our client, AAPI Data supports community narratives with research that represents the full diversity of AANHPI populations. “The historical exclusion of AANHPIs has elicited an eruption of organizing at the local, state, and national levels to ensure that our communities are recognized, respected, and prioritized”, say Karthick Ramakrishnan and Akil Vohra) of AAPI Data.

To help our client elevate their impactful work, we collaborated with their stellar team to create an entire brand refresh. We partnered with Lime&Co to lead the brand clarity component with a deep dive into AAPI Data’s What/How/Why attributes. The result? We landed on a solid brand foundation with a unique personality and clear positioning.

We then designed a full suite of communication tools that ranged from a report design and decks to social media and swag. I’m proud of the new brand for this organization who does so much to highlight the critical importance of data equity and how it can be a catalyst for systemic change.
